Honda Motor Co. launches low-priced Fit hybrid

Honda launched a low cost "Fit" hybrid compact on 8th October in an offer to inspire new car sales.

Honda Motor new Fit hybrid version is available from 1.59 million yen - the cheapest of all the hybrid vehicles on trade in Japan. It is about 300,000 yen less expensive than the popular Honda insight hybrid car.

By introducing practically price hybrid models; the automaker hopes to boost up new car sales, which are likely to slow following the execution of the government funding program for eco-car purchases in the previous month.
